Tips on how to attempt an objective-type paper:
- The most important thing in an objective type paper is “effective time management”
- You should answer the three sections (Physics, Chemistry & Maths), in a proper order. As the level of difficulty may or may not be the same but the time consumption per subject is surely not the same, and can really make the difference.
- When you are in a particular section (out of three, after making a proper selection), what you should do is go on attempting the questions, and answer what you can answer easily, rather than going in the order provided in the question paper. Don't try to answer what you actually cannot! Beware of the negative marking scheme. Don't get struck on any particular question anywhere. Remember you don't have enough time. Move on further.
- Finish first of all, what all you know in the three sections. Then you can attempt the harder questions (as felt by you in the first reading) now.
- Always read the question very properly, and make sure you have properly understood the question, before you go on with calculations or marking your answer.
- Always read all the options carefully (even if the paper contains only one choice correct questions), because may be multiple options are correct, and you have another option saying ' all of these' then you may lose out the marks.
